Glass Privacy Levels

Our etched and textured glass designs offer 5 different levels of privacy on a scale, with 1 offering the least obscuration and 5 offering the greatest obscuration.

Which level of privacy is right for you?

The best level of privacy for you will depend on your needs and preferences. Here are some suggestions:

Privacy levels 1 and 2:
These levels are ideal for areas where you want a little privacy but also want to be able to see who is outside, such as porches.

Privacy level 3:
This level is ideal for areas where you want to obscure confidential information or an unappealing external view, such as home offices and windows that look out onto walls or foliage.

Privacy levels 4 and 5:
These levels are ideal for areas where you want complete privacy, such as bathrooms.

Leaded Glass Options

Leaded glass is a type of decorative glass made by joining small pieces of glass together with lead cames. It can be used to add beauty, and privacy to your home. Sanderstead Windows offers a wide variety of leaded glass options, including traditional patterns, geometric patterns, and coloured glass.

Astragal Bar Options

Astragal bars are decorative bars that are fitted to the face of the glass. They are proud of the glass, meaning that they sit slightly above the surface. Astragal bars can be installed on both the inside and outside of a window, and they can be customised to your desired grille design.

Georgian Bar Options

Georgian bars are internal bars that are attached to the spacer frame of a window and sealed between two pieces of glass. They create the illusion of traditional glazing mullions and transoms within the sealed cavity unit. Georgian bars are not prominent on the surface, so the glass panes remain smooth and easy to clean.
